Best Educational Apps Kids Are Sure To Go Crazy For

One thing that can make all the difference in your children’s education is choosing to spend any amount of time during the day on good learning apps that help them reinforce skills and information they have picked up in their coursework for school.

They need time for things outside of learning too of course, but you can easily find something for kids from any age group to do in order to fill idle time productively without taking away their free time. Everyone needs to destress in order to process the information they have soaked up from the events of the day, so don’t feel the need to force these apps on them; most of them have a free trial so there is no harm in letting them have a test run before you buy!

Just have them take a look around after lunch, or give them a half-day off if they are homeschooled, to get an idea of what the respective app has to offer.

If it sparks their interests, pay for a month, and if they dedicate time daily to the educational app of choice, splurging for a whole year could make an awesome birthday gift or reward for staying on top of their schoolwork!

Code Spark

Child playing Codespark on their tablet

Recommended age group of 5 – 9 but kids younger than five and older than nine can definitely find something of value!

This app breaks down the basics of game design and development into a fun and interactive platform that really catches the attention of kids and adults alike!

Your kids will feel like they are playing a game, but you and I know they will actually be learning the fundamentals of problem-solving and programming logic at an extremely early age!

I am a full-time programmer and I find myself hogging my kids’ tablets when they ask for help getting past a challenge, or adding a feature to their own games. It really is quite a lot of fun! It has even inspired me to pursue game development a little more so I can help them through the struggles they may face in the future with their own games.

Codespark only has three(3) potential profiles available, but it is also intended for a smaller window of children aged 5 – 9.

  • Monthly: $9.99 a month
  • Yearly: $79.99 billed annually ($6.67 a month)

In Conclusion

Present these extremely educational apps to your kids and watch them take off on their exciting new learning adventures; not only will this bring you peace of mind but you will be setting your little learners up for future success by planting advanced seeds of knowledge at an early age!

I know that my children have made leaps and bounds from the skills they picked up using these apps in particular instead of watching crazy videos during their free time; which they still do, but more often than not they want to learn something from these awesome platforms, even if they don’t realize that’s what they are doing!

There are many methods of learning out there, but sometimes letting them sit back, relax, and have fun while they learn can be the most constructive thing to do as a parent.

Providing them with ways to learn from electronic devices is setting them up even further by preparing them for a future full of new technological advances, so the more they familiarize themselves with operating efficiently within different interfaces is creating a special skill-set all in its own.

  1. This is really needed. I don’t know why but kids love to play on tablets. So why not out educational games there for them so that they can sharpen their thinking skills while having fun. I really love that concept. I will be sure to share this article with with my aunts and uncles. They really need to incorporate this into the life’s of their kids

    1. Kids do enjoy their screen time, but so do adults and they really only know what they are taught. That being said, there is a growing need for tech-effecient individuals in the world and I dont think that will change soon. In fact, it can be expected to grow even more in the near future, so having kids become familiar with how to operate interfaces, and different software early on could help them keep up with trends!

Thank you for your comment, and I hope they can find some value from this article, or even others on my site!
